Tips and thoughts on Mindfulness, Yoga and Bodywork.

Friday, 24 January 2014

I was going through some old notes this evening and came across the following poem, I have no idea who wrote it or where it came from but thought it worth sharing

A stable mind cannot be overvalued and depends on singleminded practice

compassion stabilizes the mind
languor disturbs the mind
gladness stabilizes the mind
doubt disturbs the mind
equanimity towards things pleasant or painful stabilizes the mind
carelessness disturbs the mind
equanimity towards things good or bad stabilizes the mind
lethargy disturbs the mind
liberation of the breath stabilizes the mind
 self-indulgence disturbs the mind
mindfulness of arising perceptions stabilizes the mind
misconception disturbs the mind
sorrowless illumination stabilizes the mind
ungroundedness disturbs the mind
objectless awareness stabilizes the mind
instability disturbs the mind
